「なかはく」って？ What is ‘Nakahaku’?

『もの+まち+ひと。中崎町は、まるで博覧会。』を合言葉に、 中崎町界隈を拠点に、ものづくりやアートに関わる当事者自ら、 街の魅力を『中崎町博覧会』として2018年から発信しています。 『中崎町博覧会』が主宰する主要イベントが『なかはく』。 モノづくり、まちづくりに関心のある人がこの街に集まり、 「協同による新たな価値」を生むことを目指しています。 モノづくりの街をアピールし、クリエイターの販売機会を増やすために、 街歩きイベントやPOPUPなどのイベントを企画運営しています。 また、街歩きマップの制作や、清掃活動なども行っています。

What is ‘Nakahaku’?

‘‘Nakazakicho Hakurankai’ or Nakahaku is a creative exposition that was formed in 2018 by creators and artists based in the Nakazakicho neighbourhood to promote the city’s evolving attractions. The aim of this endeavor is to bring local creators and people interested in developing the neighborhood together to create new value through collaboration. Events such as neighborhood walking tours and POP-UPs are organized and managed to highlight the city as a creative capital. Additionally, city walking maps and clean-up activities are also offered to promote direct civic participation in enhancing the city.

中崎町博覧会第１回のイベントは、街のランドマーク「葉村温泉」の 駐車場をお借りして開催しました。そのご縁を忘れず大切にするとともに、 「まち・もの・ひと」それぞれの魅力にあふれる中崎町を表現するものと して、♨マークをモチーフとしました。

Our Signature Nakahaku Hot Spring ♨ The first Nakazaki-cho Exposition event was held at a neighborhood landmark, the Hamura Hot Springs, and offered a range of workshops and handmade art for locals and visitors to enjoy. To express our love for the beautiful people and the town of Nakazakicho we have chosen the Hamura hot spring as our signature icon ♨
